After over a year of hard work, Nimblr has successfully obtained conditional approval for the Innovative General Business (IGB) Insurance license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority. This significant milestone marks a major step forward in our journey to build a brighter insurance industry with our innovative, distributed and AI-powered insurance platform.

The IGB license allows us to underwrite risks while continuing to foster innovation within the insurance industry. This license is a testament to our commitment to pushing boundaries and implementing new strategies to drive the insurance industry forward and to build a more equitable and fair insurance system. Known as the “world’s risk capital,” Bermuda surpasses the standards established by international insurance associations, such as the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), and is regularly evaluated against the benchmarks set by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Bermuda is widely recognized as a leading global insurance and reinsurance hub, known for its robust regulatory framework and high standards of supervision. Bermuda is home to insurance companies like Chubb, Markel, AXA XL, and now we can add Nimblr to that list!
